Workshops & Masterclasses

We have an exciting range of workshops and masterclasses on offer, often linked to shows on the main stage as well as a range of opportunities requested by the sector. Keep an eye out for updates or let us know your training wish lists.

Dance Card

Have you got a workshop you would like to attend but could do with some financial support to enable the process? Three times per year we open applications to Dance Card – a bursary scheme open to dance artists from Cornwall, enabling you to access the kind of CPD you need to progress your career.

Projects & Programmes

We offer a range of projects and programmes that are updated regularly.

Currently we are working on:
  • Creation Space: an opportunity for performance professionals and collaborators to use a one week residency in a local venue to explore early Research & Development of new work. Creation Space can be a testing ground for something different - we are creating a space for exploration.
  • Home Service Project: a bespoke programme of work bringing artists and practitioners in to the care home setting to work with older people. Current work is at Pengover House in Liskeard, exploring a coastal theme with residents through a variety of artistic mediums.
  • New Reviewers: Exploring the critical voice in Cornwall, we work with six members of the community to facilitate the writing of reviews of professional performance work created in Cornwall.
  • Insight events: A variety of opportunities united by the aim of exploring the development of performance work. Recent events include a Scratch Night exploring new work for Rural Touring; Dramaturgical Workshops for writers with Canvas Theatre and an exploration of creating work in Libraries with Scary Little Girls. If you have an idea for an Insight event, let us know!
  • Theatre & The Community: a special study unit for medics training at The Knowledge Spa exploring the relationship between performance and the community, it’s role in enhancing well-being and the opportunity to shine a light on the things ‘we don’t talk about’.
