When Love Speaks

St Mary’s Singers, the voluntary choir of Truro Cathedral, performs music by Rachmaninov, Vaughan Williams, the Canadian organist Healey Willan the 50th anniversary of whose death falls this year, and three contemporary composers.

The concert moves through a reflective and sombre mood remembering the centenary of the First World War to a lighter mood, combining biblical texts on a Marian theme and the Psalms with poetry by William Shakespeare.  Conductor: Joseph Wicks
