Senior Box Office Supervisor

Full time, permanent, £26,496 pa

Average of 37.5 hours a week, including evenings and weekends.

We are looking for an experienced team leader who loves delivering excellent customer experiences to all kinds of audience.  We need someone who will work with our Box Office Manager to supervise the Ticketing team and ensure all established box office procedures are widely understood and followed to deliver exemplary customer service and care, to reach agreed commercial targets.

What you’ll be doing

  • Connecting audiences with incredible cultural experiences through ticket sales and customer care.
  • Delivering a first-class welcome and encouraging our audiences to develop their relationship with HfC through every visit.
  • Planning of daily/monthly box office rotas to ensure the smooth running of phone and in-person box office.
  • Working with the Box Office Manager to lead on promoting our membership scheme, group and school bookings, merchandise sales and external ticketing.
  • Be an ambassador for accessibility. Work to raise awareness of the facilities we offer and always seek out ways to improve them.
  • Supervising others on a duty rota.
  • Liaising with visiting companies, fulfilling their ticketing and reporting requirements.

Who we’re looking for

  • Someone who is highly approachable and personable.
  • At least 1 years’ experience working in a reservations/sales/ reception environment – ideally where you have managed others in their role.
  • Sales oriented and target-driven approach, with the ability to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Competent IT and numeracy skills – with good knowledge of CRM/relational databases.
  • Experience of using software to sell tickets.
  • Clear and confident verbal communicator.
  • Good memory recall for show information and details.
  • Experience of supervising staff; being consistent and motivating others by example.
  • Knowledge and application of GDPR regulations.
