Performance is for everyone.

We’re building a company. A company where young people can find and play to their strengths and character in collaboration.

Exploring what it is to be a professional artist and practitioner, we want to double the number of programme places we offer to young people over the next five years.

Our Youth Performance Companies give opportunities to reach creative goals and launch careers. The below programmes offer a mix of skills training, with masterclasses that lead to taking first steps onto our historic stage. We’re trying hard to listen to what young people want. We’re up for adding new groups and training programmes, so if there’s something you’d like to take part in, on or off stage, then we would love to hear from you.

Youth Theatre (ages 6 to 21)

Our Youth Theatre companies meet weekly and we devise work, play theatre games, improvise, work with text and scripts, put on performances, as well as expand our performance and ensemble skills for well-rounded individuals and performers. Our love of theatre is infectious and we want you to be curious and come and have a go and be part of the next generation of theatre makers in Cornwall.

Youth Dance (ages 6 to 21)

Our Youth Dance programmes nurture and develop contemporary dancers and choreographers of the future. We focus on technical training, improvisation, performance skills and choreographic work for our older dancers and exploration, creativity and fun for our younger ones. Across all age groups, we push our dancers to be the best they can be.

All Boys Dance (ages 6 to 18)

Our monthly dance workshops, with Rob Mennear, for young male dancers are designed to develop dance skills and techniques, creativity and physicality with performance projects planned throughout the year. The classes are open to all, regardless of previous experience.
