o-region's 60 Second Film Challenge

Why not try your luck in our Associate Artist o-region's film making competition? The rules of the competition are simple; make a film no longer than 60 seconds (including credits). With prizes of up to £1000 to win, what have you got to lose? Deadline is 21st August.

The Juilliard School Bolero

What can we do together even while we are alone? 100+ Juilliard students and alumni, at home together, create their version of Bolero. A must-watch with a cuppa when you have a spare 10 minutes.

Complicite - The Encounter

From Friday 15 May 7pm to Friday 22 May, you will be able to watch The Encounter, a solo written and performed by Complicitie's Artistic Director, Simon McBurney. Inspired by the book Amazon Beaming which tells of  a National Geographic journalist who found himself lost among the people of the remote Javari Valley in Brazil, the piece traces the photographers journey into the depths of Amazon rainforest, incorporating innovative technology into his solo performance to build a shifting world of sound.

The Showstoppers Alternative Eurovision Song Contest

The Eurovision Song Contest & West End Eurovision may be cancelled but look no further, The Showstoppers (who performed their hilarious improvised musical at HFC in 2017) are bringing you their Alternative Eurovision Song Contest livestreaming on Facebook, 8pm (UK time) Fri 15th May. 
Expect an hilarious evening complete with commentary, OTT production values, high camp, musical merriment and interactive voting, all from isolation!

Grace Murdoch's Digital Dance Discovery

Hall For Cornwall Associate Artist Grace Murdoch posts a new movement task for you every Saturday on her Facebook Instagram pages. The aim of Digital Dance Discovery is to give anyone who wishes to get involved a starting point to have a wiggle, or a jiggle and to keep our bodies moving! 

Lockdown Cornwall - One Day More

During Lockdown, 200+ singers and musicians from across Cornwall have come together to create their version of the Les Miserables classic One Day More. Aided by a fantastic team of technical & directing wizards this has all been recorded in homes across the county. The audio track was premiered on BBC Radio Cornwall on Saturday 9th May (only around 10 days after the original idea was conceived!) and the video is now available to watch on Youtube. Follow the Lockdown Cornwall Facebook page and Listen on the BBC Sounds website to hear the first radio broadcast (21 minutes in).

Owdyado's Script Writing Competition

HFC Associate Artists Owdyado are running a writing competition for original short scripts up to 5 minutes in length that can be made into radio plays. They must be ‘twisted’ in some way and use the theme ‘isolation’. Prizes of £500 for the best - get writing!
