Aisha’s class explores the natural spiral of our bodies, and how we can use the musculoskeletal system to explore weight in order to propel ourselves dynamically in space while remaining soft and grounded. Her classes flow through loops of floor work phrases that connect us to our breath and to the group. Our dancing then evolves into a guided improvisation as well as crossings that flow in and out of the floor. Finally, we conclude the session with longer phrases of dancing which ties together all of the movement language we covered through the class.
