What is The Social?
The Social is something for independent theatregoers – a way to experience live shows with a dash of delightful company thrown in.
Arrive up to 90 minutes pre-show and head to our comfortable pre-arranged location where our Welcome Team will be ready to offer you a free hot drink. Meet fellow solo theatre enthusiasts, share that pre-show excitement, and then experience the magic of live performance together. Because often the most memorable theatre visits begin before the curtain rises.
Who’s it for?
If you prefer selecting your own shows and keeping your own diary, while enjoying the experience of meeting others in a similar position, this is for you. If you’ve booked a single seat to any of our selected performances, get in touch to let us know you’ll be coming to The Social. If you’ve been holding off booking because you weren’t sure about coming alone, our friendly Box Office team can guide you through the whole process, from securing your seat to meeting your new tribe of independent theatregoing friends.

How do I book?
Booking your place at The Social is straightforward. Simply email [email protected] or give us a call on 01872 262466 (Mon – Sat, 1pm – 5pm) to get booked in. If you’re passing by, you’re welcome to book in person as well – see here for opening times.
Once you’ve booked your show ticket, coming to The Social is completely free of charge. With limited spaces available, we recommend booking early to secure your spot.
