New Artist Network

We know that forging a creative career in Cornwall can swing between dizzying and daunting. We’ve created a community where new artists are supported, connected and fired up to make great work and find their place in the creative landscape of our region. This network forms part of our Husa programme, supporting more than 400 creatives in Cornwall every year.   

What is the New Artist Network? 

The go-to place for early career creatives to access skills sessions, practice-led workshops and masterclasses. New Artist Network members unlock a rich seam of resources, building a practical toolkit – from great grant writing to ticking off tax questions. We shape sessions to empower members with the business know-how to back up the creativity.   

Who’s it here for?

Anyone starting out or re-entering the industry. Whether you’ve recently graduated from an arts degree or training programme, you’re forging a creative career through on-the-ground experience, or changing careers, we’ve got your back and we’re here to help.   

How do I get involved? 

We’ll always signpost opportunities to our network of emerging artists and companies, so make sure your name’s on the Husa mailing list. We send a monthly roundup packed full of upcoming professional events, career opportunities, and chances to meet up with fellow creatives. Stay in the know and find your place in our thriving creative community.

Creation Space 

A Husa initiative we’ve established and retuned over the last decade, provides Cornwall-based creatives with seed funding, coaching and resources to forge new work and test ideas as part of HfC’s drive to champion artists and creative careers in Cornwall.
