Welcome to Husa Hot-Desking

Husa is all about dreaming big and making space for creativity to thrive. Our hot-desking area is here to give artists, freelancers, and creative minds a focused, flexible environment to work, connect, and collaborate in Cornwall. To keep the workspace inspiring, productive and respectful for everyone, we’ve put together a few simple guidelines.

 Our Shared Space Principles

Think of this as a creative commons – where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and fired up to do their best work. Here’s how we make that happen together:

 1. Respect the Dream

Husa is a shared creative space – let’s keep it inspiring for everyone.

  • Treat the workspace and each other with care. Creativity thrives on kindness.
  • Keep those noise levels considerate.
  • Please avoid holding meetings in the hot-desking area – our meeting rooms are the perfect place to head instead, or our Green Room Café provides a buzzy backdrop for exchanging ideas.

 2. Community Vibes

Husa is as much about connection as creation.

  • Say hello! A friendly greeting goes a long way.
  • Networking is great – just check if someone’s in deep focus before starting a chat.

 3. Headphones Are Your Superpower

To keep the space calm and focused:

  • Always use headphones for calls, video meetings, or online content.
  • Keep calls low volume – think library vibes rather than projecting for the stage! You could move to a different area if you need to speak at length.
  • Avoid playing audio out loud, even short clips.

 4. Keep It Tidy

Let’s leave the space ready for the next creative mind.

  • Leave the communal desk as you found it (or better!).
  • Clear away cups, papers, and any crafting explosions.
  • Shared resources (kitchen, Wi-Fi) are for everyone, so please use them respectfully.

5. Tech & Tools

We want everyone to stay connected and supported.

  • Wi-Fi is included, but please keep downloads light so speeds stay stable for everyone.
  • If something isn’t working (lights, doors, printer), just give Stage Door a shout and we’ll get it sorted as quickly as we can.

 6. Food & Drink

Snacks fuel creativity – but let’s keep things comfortable.

  • Strong smelling food can be distracting, so please be considerate.
  • Wash up after yourself in the kitchen area.
  • Help yourself to the tea and coffee provided in the wooden caddy.
  • The Green Room Café is just a hop and a skip downstairs if you fancy a cake or bagel.

 7. Safety & Wellbeing

Your wellbeing – and everyone else’s – matters.

  • Emergency exits are clearly marked, please keep them clear at all times.
  • If you’re feeling unwell, take care of yourself and others by working from home.
  • If you’re suffering from a sniffle, we have masks at Stage Door for you to use to stop those germs from spreading.
  • We’ve popped handy sanitiser bottles in the meeting rooms and workspace for you to clean your table down after use.
  • Kindness is key. Husa is a space where everyone should feel safe, welcome, and respected. Bullying, harassment, or behaviour that makes others feel uncomfortable has no place here. If something doesn’t feel right, please speak to Stage Door so we can help.

 Why These Guidelines?

Because Husa is more than desks – it’s a community. These guidelines help us keep the space welcoming, productive, and full of creative energy for everyone who uses it.
