A Dream Come True:
Cornwall Students Meet the Queens of SIX at Hall for Cornwall

Nine students from Richard Lander School, Truro enjoyed a Thursday they’ll never forget - stepping onto the Cornwall Playhouse stage to meet the cast of SIX The Musical. 

Following hot on the (considerable) heels of their own school production of the show – SIX: Teen Edition, the students were buzzing to meet their professional counterparts. There were signed programmes, photo opportunities, and the students bagged one-on-one chats with the queens themselves, a moment of pure magic for a group who’d poured their hearts into bringing SIX to life in their own way.

What's SIX all about?

Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, SIX is a global smash-hit that flips history on its head. The six wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix five hundred years of heartbreak into an 80-minute celebration of sisterhood, sass, and 21st-century girl power. It’s a bold, mouldbreaking show that has just wrapped its second sellout run at the Cornwall Playhouse.

For us, this moment went right to the heart of our mission as a charity – Hall for Cornwall connects our region to the world through culture. Whether it’s a student stepping onto a star-laden stage, or young eyes being opened, through our Get Creative programme and the programme of shows on the Cornwall Playhouse stage, we’re here to open doors, spark ideas, and show the transformative power of the arts.
