Executive Assistant to the CEO & Creative Director

Full time, permanent £28,660 per annum

 Context

HfC’s CEO and Creative Director works with donors, theatre creatives, and local and national stakeholders. Collaboration in this role is crucial and you must be humble, hungry, and smart to succeed. This newly created position is integral to our charity’s growth and will also work closely with our Chair of Trustees, Lord John Hutton.  It would suit someone who wants to fully understand, and make a difference to, Cornwall’s primary theatre.

You’ll be personable, enthusiastic, and able to work independently to a high standard – good at organising people and confident using computers, spreadsheets, and databases.  You’ll have a strong written English and a good eye for proofreading and correcting grammar.  Discreetly and confidentially, you’ll ensure the CEO’s office runs smoothly by proactively following appropriate procedures.

What it’s like to work here

HFC is a dynamic cultural organisation where every day differs, so this role is full of variety and change. In addition to managing day-to-day tasks, you’ll work with high-profile philanthropists who support our charity.

As a team, we’re all in!  We’re inclusive and open, kind and welcoming, meeting people as they are and responding to their needs and interests.  We’re enthusiastic, committed and constantly encouraging people to feel the power of performance in their lives.  We’re drawing on modern tools and technology as well as our deep-rooted heritage to make our new home the very best it can be.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be providing efficient, effective, and flexible support, including assisting with internal and external communications, taking minutes, handling administration, and tracking data via our customer relationship management (CRM) system, Spektrix. You’ll champion best practices for support and always be looking for ways to offer help.
