Introducing Your
Aladdin Youth Ensemble

This Christmas, we're taking to the skies and whisking you away to a world where wishes really do come true… and we reckon a few have been granted already as we introduce a talented group of young performers who will light up the stage as this year’s Youth Ensemble for the Cornwall Playhouse Production of Aladdin.

Each year our Youth Ensemble get to gain real theatre experience whilst bringing a spark to Cornwall's biggest Christmas show, supporting the professional cast and delighting audiences.

Expert creative guidance...

Under the guidance of director Nick Evans, a stalwart of the stage who’s nurtured plenty of talent in his time (including a young Tom Holland in his Billy Elliot debut), the ensemble are split into two teams to share the run of 42 performances. Each team will experience the full process of forging brand new work from rehearsal room to stage just like their professional counterparts. It’s a big commitment and a rich opportunity for industry insight and the buzz of a professional production.

This is what HfC’s Get Creative team do best – shining a light on creative opportunities for young people in Cornwall, supporting them in finding their voice, their tribe and unlocking the power of creativity.

Keslowena / Congratulations to the 169 young people who auditioned and say Dydh Dha / hello to the twelve rising stars who’ll be striding onto the Cornwall Playhouse stage this year - Belle, Bodhi, Caja, Ella, Eva Rose, Joel, Kerra, Lucca, Murray, Noah, Poppy, and Tigerlily.

At the start of September we gathered the gang together for the first time, sharing laughs and gearing up for the magic to come… we’re proud to see them learn and grow together along the way.

Aladdin is a Cornwall Playhouse Productions pantomime adventure presented in association with Falmouth University, flying together with Cornwall Airport Newquay.
