Bach, Vivaldi and Handel by Candlelight at St Germans Priory

Come with us on a candlelit journey though some of the most beautiful music from the great composers of the baroque period. We will start in Italy, with two virtuosic concertos by Vivaldi – one for bassoon and the other for four violins. Our journey continues with Bach and his D minor keyboard concerto – perhaps the first proper piano concerto. And finally we arrive in London where Handel’s Water Music accompanied King George 1st royal barge on the Thames.

The Jopes Ensemble brings together some of the finest professional musicians from across the south west of England, united by a simple goal: to share great live classical music with as many people as possible.

Whether you’re a regular concert-goer or coming for the first time, this is a chance to hear outstanding musicians performing some of the worlds greatest music in a welcoming and friendly environment.
