BBC Singers
Presenter: Petroc Trelawny
Conductor: Andrew Nethsingha
We are delighted to welcome the BBC Singers to Truro in their centenary year. The UK’s only full-time chamber choir come to Cornwall at one of the most exciting times in their history – renowned for their versatile and uplifting performances they continue to trailblaze in their high-profile and critically acclaimed records and concerts.
They will perform choral favourites linked to the life, enthusiasms and poetry of Sir John Betjeman, who loved Cornwall and who died 40 years ago at his home in Trebetherick. The concert will be hosted by Hall for Cornwall trustee and BBC presenter, Petroc Trelawny, who will also read a selection of Betjeman’s poems.
