Rest and Release with Rosanna Elliott

A deeper dive into the art of resting

A wellbeing workshop exploring the importance of rest in your creative journey.

What does rest mean for you? Do you make time to rest as part of your creative practice?

As creatives, the need to drive ourselves forward can often end in us getting stuck in motion. Without rest we can tire of our journey and lose sight of our destination.

Prioritising your own wellbeing within your creative business improves productivity and the quality, longevity and enjoyment of your creative output.

This workshop will provide an opportunity to:

Reframe rest as a tool to increase productivity
Nurture your connection to yourself and your art
Let go of what you no longer need to make space for more of what inspires you
Cultivate compassion and kindness towards yourself and within your business
Together we will cover various tips and techniques to support you on your wellbeing journey, including restorative yoga, mindfulness, breath work and journaling.
Please wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and pen and paper.
We share practical approaches to navigate the challenges faced by artists today.

The session will be facilitated by Rosanna Elliott from Canvas Theatre and Wellbeing. Rosanna is a Theatre director, wellbeing facilitator and mother to two young children. You can read more about Canvas’ work here: https://www.canvaswellbeing.co.uk/.
