This Christmas, we’re taking to the skies and whisking you away to a world where wishes really do come true…
From Cornwall Playhouse Productions – the team behind hits like Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk and Fisherman’s Friends The Musical – comes a magical Cornish pantomime adventure, and a story as old as time.
Following a standout performance as the dame last year, Edward Rowe (Kernow King) is back, this time as Widow Twerkey, for another fast and furious festive adventure. Aladdin is a fresh take on the classic tale, written by Cornwall-based Richard Healey and Edward Rowe, with Dawn French as the Voice of the Genie!
Perfect for children of all ages (parents and grandparents included!), with heart, soul and songs you’ll know. Prepare to bask in the magic, and look out for a carpet and lamp with surprising extra skills…
Directed by Nick Evans, whose credits include Billy Elliot, Rock of Ages, Jesus Christ Superstar, and MAMMA MIA!, expect all the fun and warmth of a Hall for Cornwall Christmas show, with a dash of musical theatre magic thrown in for good measure.

Handy information to help plan your school trip to see Aladdin
- The show’s running time will likely be around 2 hours, including an extended 30 minute interval so children can have lunch in their seats.
- The coach parking is next to Marks and Spencers – just across Lemon Quay which is pedestrianised. A less-than-two-minute, road-free walk from bus to your seats!
- The show is suitable for all ages. Expect special effects including haze, smoke, flashing lights, pyrotechnics and occasional loud sounds.
- We have excellent accessible seating options (including 13 wheelchair positions) for those with additional needs. Simply ask our Box Office team for their recommendations.
- We provide you with a seating plan in the week before your visit and walk groups to their seats for a stress-free arrival.
- We pride ourselves on giving you an excellent experience throughout. We’re on hand for everything from pre-performance questions to bringing you booster seats to finding the nearest facilities.
- The performance on Mon 15 Dec is a relaxed performance which allows for audience noise and movement along with adjustments to lighting, sound and pyrotechnic effects for those with sensory sensitivities.
- There are plenty of toilets across each level.
- You can pre-order interval ice creams at only £2 each when booked and paid for in advance! These will be brought to your seats. Available on the day for £3.10 each.
